Refurbishing club interiors helps to keep social clubs open for business
Whilst a number of social clubs have fallen by the wayside in past years, many of those who are investing in improvements are flourishing. “Income generation” is the buzzword
Committees are using and improvements to club interiors and facilities are often being carried out to retain existing members and importantly to attract new members who are key to their continued success.
Old Woking & District Recreation Club in Surrey recently called in Thames Contracts of London to redesign and completely transform both their members lounge Bar area and main function room which accommodates up to 150 guests. The function room features a dual level recessed ceiling with LED perimeter lighting and specially woven heavy duty
Wilton carpets were provided throughout both areas.
Robin Docherty a Committee member said:
“We chose Thames because they understood our needs and their costs were extremely competitive. We found them to be highly professional and importantly they completed on time. The function room is available for corporate hire in addition to weddings, parties and other events and the venue is now gaining popularity.”
Thames Contracts are one of the leading companies designing and transforming club interiors in London and the South East, and Old Woking Club – their most recent project – is now benefitting from the improvements.
